Few things more inspiring than the TRS-80 MC-10 software emulation library at
@archive.org
- over 800 programs, some rather recently written, trying to squeeze every glowing drop of potential fun and old-style computer joy out of a powerless computer system.

I made a Doom source port that runs within a PDF file. PDFs support Javascript, so Emscripten is used to compile Doom to asm.js, which is then run within the PDF engine. Input/output is done by manipulating text input fields.

atproto aha moments: - you can host your data - it's just json - it's typed but any app dev can invent those types - records have URIs - records are signed so cacheable without trust - relay aggregates everyone’s events into a global stream - backends subscribe to relay and update local DBs

The steam engine was invented in 1712. An observer at the time might said: “The engine will power everything: factories, ships, carriages. Horses will be obsolete!” They would have been right—but *200 years later*, we were still using horses to plow fields:

i think its soo important to get the sky right if you want a place in vr to feel real. Stars especially just feel off most of the time, usually because they're way too bright or uniformly spaced out. for most of my worlds I like to use star maps from NASA:
