Something I’m trying to internalize for music making is the “rule of three”: you can’t really have more than three things going on at once. I’m not entirely sure how to interpret it though, so I’m still experimenting :)

For those keeping score, I’m sort of committing to making a full adventure game soundtrack in the string ensemble style. It’s going to be a big undertaking but it’d be cool to have something I could shop around as a portfolio piece or maybe just license for an actual game.

What I have learned about music this weekend: 1) To make good music, you have to make a lot of bad music 2) Trust yourself & go with the flow 3) Take time to clean stuff up 4) I have certain rhythms and intervals I tend to rely on and I should try branching out
