Yeah it is tricky. Have been to one that did offer audio guide, but it was up a lot of stairs which was hard on the way down.. Can be hard to find out if they have audio described performances. Or they have odd lighting, strobe lighting for six the musical, dark spaces and more.

Tonight I went to the gym for the first time in a while, to help my musical skeleton. Was less scary than I thought, with staff happy to help me work machines or navigate around. Wasn't too loud or bright, which was a plus. Would go again, a bit less stiff.

Super excited as headed to @worldfantasy2025.bsky.social for the day tomorrow! And sounds like a fairytale session will be super helpful for my current wip.

Always enjoy coming to bristol. The people are so lovely and happy to help. Had a great passenger assistance man. Then had a taxi driver help me find the entrance to my hotel and even up some stairs. Then had hotel staff help me find my room. All little things that made life easier. Thanks bristol.

Love it when world sight day is the day after world octopus day, two parts of my life coming together. And both just after I recently finished wriitng a novella in flash about an interstellar octopus being living in my sight. The universe always listens, pagan spirits know.

This is brilliant, really enjoyed it has a fairytale feel and a fab story.

So yesterday I went to the theatre and tried out audio description for the first time, with a jazzy musical about Orpheus and Eurydice. And it was incredible, loved every minute. Meant I coulld enjoy a show without struggling, particularly when it was set in the dark Underworld.

In case you need to hear it today: Being exhausted is completely valid. The world is exhausting and actively trying to wear you down. There is nothing wrong with you if you are feeling it. The wrong in this aspect is folks of the world trying to make you think this is normal.

Had a really fun time at today's Brighton @writershq.bsky.social retreat writing some of my new fairytale stories including Bluebesrd, the Snow Queen, Sinbad the Sailor and Snow Whits.

Today I offer a reminder of the word ‘forswunk’ (13th century): exhausted from too much work. To be ‘foreswunk’ (my own version) is to be exhausted before you even begin.

Well here we go. Its all official. Sight getting worse. But had a lovely call with my local sight loss charity this week about how they can support me . And my blue badge came in time for the new term at wind band, which was great. Still living life as best I can.

Slowly learning touch typing to support my writing going forward as sight gets worse and fun so far. Although some of the phrases would make great prompts like get the file for like a spy story.

Another week passed, and i took another step towards winter. A slow descent, one I never enjoy. The nights shorten and my sight worsens and my struggles grow fangs. I try to remind myself spring will come again, but every step is a mountain . #FromOneLine

There are lights on Mars, twinkling and dazzling in vivid vibrancy. We didnt know they were lures until it was too late. None of our rockets returned. But the canals of Mars were full of water again. #FromOneLine

Really enjoyed Copenhagen, a lovely city and had lovely weather. Enjoyed a jazz canal cruise and exploring the city in a food tour, using other senses. And was super accessible too which i loved.

May have found one of the best ways to travel tonight, which was a jazz canal cruise where out of this world musicians played magical swing and jazz music down Copenhagens canals. Loved every minute had a great time, was even a clarinet too.
