After a lot of work, delays and difficulties, we are almost finishing the new @neoprego.org research base at Serra da Capivara! 🏗️🚧🏠 This base will provide great stability for us to continue doing long-term research on the capuchin monkeys of Serra da Capivara and their incredible culture.

We’re finishing our fieldwork season in Ubajara National Park 🇧🇷, where we collected🩸and other samples from the wild capuchin monkeys we study here. Now we have a lot of samples to analyse from genetics to health indicators. #capuchin #monkey #wildlife #primatologia @neoprego.org

I know we're all up to our ears in political activity, but this bill really matters, and it's the sort that might well die for lack of attention. It would prohibit the private ownership of primates. As the thread says, like many species, primates are cute when they're small, but not so much later.
