This weekend, we had our first CapCult Project meeting at Ubajara National Park. We brought the team from Serra da Capivara to learn about the environment and the monkeys and share information with the local research team.

1. For the past thirty years I've had the best job in the world. 
I've had the opportunity to follow my curiosity; explore the workings of nature and society; mentor students and junior colleagues in the same process; and teach generations of students about it all.

So sad the hear that Kanzi died. 😢

Being in a multidisciplinary area is wonderful, but greatly reduce your chance of a academic job in Brazil. Although it is, in theory, commended by the departments, in reality the positions never fit a person that works in multiple fields. You’ll always be after people that work in narrow fields.
