Just finished The List of Suspicious Things by @jenniegauthor.bsky.social a heartbreaking story (though not without humour) about growing up, friendship, grief & the horror people hide. Set in Yorkshire in the late 70’s - & that place & time are brilliantly evoked (I remember it well!)

I’m a few chapters into this ARC of @sgj.bsky.social’s THE BUFFALO HUNTER HUNTER and, man, it’s getting under my skin (in the positive sense (i.e., I’m obsessed))! Coming 3/18/25 from @sagapressbooks.bsky.social, preorder now from your local independent bookstore!

I haven't slept all night, but luckily I have several 100 unread books to be working on.

I've just read #ElegySouthWest by Madeleine Watts. A tender, raw, intelligent, and lyrical love story. I couldn't put it down. This deserves all the awards. I adored it! ❤️ Coming March 2025 @pushkinpress.com
