Here’s my piece on the “now-completed demolition” of the Voting Rights Act in @thenation.com The VRA is the most important piece of legislation in American history. It more than anything is what ended American-style apartheid. And now Republicans have killed it.

We need to be ready to fight for Democrats in ‘26 and ‘28 who will nix the filibuster and fight for a new VRA, Court Reform, antitrust reform, and so much more. If they don’t commit, they need to be primaried. ‘26 elections are coming soon, do your research and VOTE in the Dem primaries.❤️

A Democratic president with simple majorities in Congress could enact proportional representation for the House—no amendments required. 50%+1 could end the filibuster, expand SCOTUS, expand the House, and enact PR by state. And add new states like D.C. to rebalance the Senate while they’re at it
