The light poisoning was a really fun wrinkle for Joan's story since my established lore for her was that she was undead and kept animated by a direct link to Hydaelyn, with no unique aether of her own, but since ShB insisted that the Light was tainting her aether and not Hydaelyn's, (1/2)

Her half-rotted face is already off-putting enough. She hid it behind a mask during ARR but from HW on she refuses to do so. If people have trouble with it she ignores their reactions until they have no choice but to accept it

Alphinaud and Alisae are already obviously important in canon, but in Joan's story they started interacting much earlier, in that they found her wandering around the Twelveswood when she was first resurrected and helped her get situated in Gridania/set her on the path of adventuring

all of Joan's senses were dulled by her undeath but they've been slowly sharpening now that she's a proper living organism again post-Shadowbringers. She's still missing an eye and an ear so neither of those sense will ever be 100% but i think he sense of smell is pretty good these days
