Spent a brilliant few hours at

book fair at the Institute for Contemporary Art today. So inspired. In that blissful place where Iāve got a million good ideas in my head and some energy to actually do them. Anyone want to start a publishing house with me?

Something has shifted. Iām setting up a new thing, working with artists and writers and musicians I love. Iām self publishing the novel Iāve had in my head for six years. Iām just doing all the things Iāve waited years for permission from others to do. Feels terrifying, incredible. Watch this space

Overdone it like a rookie. This beautiful book is keeping me company on an enforced bed day: Time for Magic, with Jamie Reidās artwork and the eightfold wheel of the year described luminously as ever by Philip Carr Gomm. Excellent anarchic stuff.

Please sign this, if you've got a moment. It might seem like a token gesture but it's important to make our voices heard. Trans people should be able to determine their own gender and live their lives in peace.

The fight for the rights and dignities of trans people is a fight against the thin edge of fascism. It's a hill we are willing to fight and die on. If you'd like to support us with a donation dedicated to trans rights, you can do so here. I am donating £1,000.

With the absolutely offensive guff coming out of the UK govt today, I just want to say that, as a cis-gender middle aged woman, if you are trans and you identify as a woman, in my eyes, you are a woman.
