A forest with fireflies. This little illustration was painted with a series of gouache washes, giving it a very soft feel.

It's nice to do these layouts from time to time to see how the work has evolved and how it's remained consistent. Lately, I've been shifting my emphasis from the tower to the portal.

I know others have likely said this, but the point and the joy in art is that it is problem solving in action. It is watching your improvement piece by piece and creating a personal visual language Whenever people use AI instead it quite literally defeats that entire purpose of creating

The Faerie Window 2025 I was looking at Eyvind Earle and Maxfield Parrish before and while working on this. I think I ended up being myself in the end, though.

I am open to offers on this set of four seasonal horse unicorns framed as a set! Each is 8" x 8" (not including the frames). I've had them for a bit and it would be nice if they went together. If not, I'll probably unframe them before Gen Con and move them to my unframed original basket.

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people: 1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money 3) We won’t need a lot of troops 4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq 5) We’ll find WMDs 6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators 7) It will be easy 8) It won’t take long All lies.

. One of my most surreal ones, as I embrace the urge to swoosh and follow my own silly voice, wherever it may lead. Painted mainly from imagination by me, a human boy. Let's all be more quirky in our styles and complete ourselves, not compete among ourselves.

Winter's Dreams 2025 Just in time for Spring, I'm dropping a Winter-themed piece! A really wanted to lean into a sense of stillness and quietude in this piece, as after a fresh snowfall. Prints of this piece are available at

The Red Cathedral 2021 It's been a few years, but I still really like this piece. Gold ornamentation, subsurface scattering, and a subject with strong local color--all were fun to paint!

I've decided to offer a number of original watercolors I did for the Overlight RPG (Renegade Game Studios) back in 2019 and 2020. These have never been offered online before. I'll have them up until March 25. This is just a few of the 13 I have available, go see!

I declare this most miserable Winter OVER! And I do just mean the Winter. Life has been good actually. I got to work and I got to play, work was playful and the play was productive, but all the cold, dark, rain, and mud depressed me beyond words. Here's some sunny artwork!

Unto Dawn 2024 A sunlit world waits beyond the threshold of a portal standing in a night-shrouded landscape. The light and life of the world beyond spill out into the world outside: trees blossom, plants grow, and warmth touches the earth.
