My first memory of Magic is watching two kids play on the pavement during recess at elementary school (1998 at 10?). Crash of Rhinos! I was gifted a deck with Mercadian Masques Mercenary cards sometime before the release of Apocalypse (APC), 2001. I bought my first packs that summer. #MTG

Back at Bootown’s Games and Hobbies for my second #MTGxATLA pre-release. Black kit this time. Hyped. More bombs, please.

I had an AB•SO•LUTE blast playing #MTGxATLA last night. Bootown was lovely, staff and players were great. Raffle’s between rounds. Waterbending kit. 49 people. 6 rounds. Went 4-2. Losses were to the guy who came first (6-0) and third (5-1). My deck was gas.

#MTGxATLA pre-release at Bootown’s Games and Hobbies in Stratford, ON. Not my usual haunt but looking forward to playing with new people and new cards! Truly excited for this set.

I wonder if Orzhov with Appa/Avatar's Wrath might be worth exploring. Every airbended creature is free with Sibsig. Immediately recasting creatures to generate value and druid zombies while fueling an Awakening Hall or Raise the Past seems... good? Mana base is questionable. #MTGxATLA #MTGStandard

We have got to find a way to change the “I only play #MTGStandard to win. To win I need the consensus top deck according to tournament data in hand at all times. I can’t afford to buy a new deck every month based on new results. I’ve been priced out; Standard is unplayable.” narrative.
