This morning during breakfast I reflected on how the Peoria Punk Scene got me through college. Peoria has been a safe space for punks and queers for a long time. Even bands you wouldn't think were always welcoming. In many ways the scene raised and protected me.

This post is to celebrate me re-following @danagould.bsky.social I unfollowed him because I had a weird thing about limiting who I followed It was very petty. But now I am medicated. I'm sure he can relate. He rarely blocks people and encourages them to get help. He's great live. Good dude.

I have a conspiracy theory that we're all in the same hell. We are living in a Revenge of the Nerds reboot that is somehow more problematic than the 1980s. You get some laughs in hell now and then, but nerds really did get revenge ... and real revenge is fucking dark.

The only advantage of being closeted about being attracted to men is the opportunity to see how men react to gay men in private and how gay men will often treat straight allies with suspicion. I say this as someone who took too long to come out due to societal norms.

I relate more to genderfluid people more than non-binary people. Non-binary people are "How about neither?" and genderfluid people are like, "How about I pick what I am right now as a social cue!" It's somehow jives with my neurodivergent brain.
