Llandudno, North Wales 2024

Just sent draft 8 of my debut novel, 50 Reasons to Live to my publisher - Barnard Press - next step: edits and cover design 👍 I am feeling a strange mixture of excitement and anxiety after 15 years or so of trying to write this book!

Just finished reading this book, a memoir by Aidan Martin about addiction and recovery, amongst other things. A great read - you can buy and check out similar titles from www.gutspublishing.com - highly recommended, and a great way to support indie publishers/ authors!

I was walking down the street in Rhyl and saw the back of this man with what looked like a snake coiled around his arm - so I ran towards him (something I hardly ever do) and had a chat about his snake Jasper who he (Phoenix) had just taken with him for a ride on the bus. Glad I went out that day.

I think the fact depression can use guilt against the depressed, for being depressed, in order to keep them depressed, is really cunning for an emotional state with no intelligence or survival benefit of its own.
