Congratulations to Stellar Quines for a fantastic opening night! Brilliant to get through to Lochgelly and catch this ambitious, funny, and original Scottish musical in the heart of Fife. An example of de-centralising theatre, bringing big shows to people at affordable prices, just brill to see!

Was nice to talk to Brian and Fergus about where we are in Scottish Theatreland. Very happy that Exeunt is back and really appreciating the way Fergus Morgan is writing about Scottish theatre these days.

I say this to all my male followers with love in the same way I do with my family and friends - have those uncomfortable conversations with the men in your life. Don’t allow the casual misogyny in conversations. Challenge abusive behaviour. Do the work. It’s on you. It always has been.

Bit of Stellar Quines herstory yesterday. We said goodbye to our teeny tiny office in Grindlay St. It's been such an inspiring place to work and to learn from and stand in solidarity with our friends at The Lyceum, Imaginate and Lung Ha has been invaluable!!

Happy 1st of December. Today, a 🧵 of Scottish women worthy of statues. Statues memorialise in a specific way. They honour achievement. First, Jennie Lee, MP and founder of the Open University. The work she did as Arts Minister was transformative. Also = Mrs Aneurin Bevan. /1

I saw this Friday. Music, singing, dancing. Fire and earth and airplanes. 6 wonderful performers and just when you think it's over Cursed Choir rises from the audience to sing us out with a version of One Day at a Time. Magical, emotional satisfying evening. Deserves to be seen all over. Thank you.
