Last year YouTube introduced A/B tests for thumbnails and I don't know if I like them. I've used them consistently since then, but I don't love that everyone experiences the video a little differently. So here are all the thumbnails and if YT makes a choice you can be like... ugh they are so wrong.

My podcast, Someone Lived Here, had its annual episode come out today! It takes you inside the home of writer Sarah Orne Jewett. She wrote beautifully about Maine and was the inspiration for writers like Willa Cather.

Now that it’s 11pm the night before release i finally feel confident to say theres a new episode of Someone Lived Here coming out tomorrow. Will be on podcast apps and YouTube (first time releasing like this). I’m very excited!!

I only know of one photo of Harriet Jacobs. It was taken at Gilbert Studios in Philadelphia in 1894. I was curious about the studio and ended up finding this photo of Helen Keller and actor, Joseph Jefferson, sitting on an identical chair in 1902.

Latest video combines: Blue Prince, floor plan books from the 1840s, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, and the story of Harriet Jacobs. Had such a good time making this one!

The super cute Appalachian Trail stamps came out last week. There is a photo for each of the 14 states the AT passes through from Maine and Georgia. They are forever stamps and come in a sheet of 15.

I got a press release from USPS about two new stamps, Goodnight Moon and Spongebob. Out sometime in 2025, no release dates yet. I will be putting that little bowl of mush on every piece of mail.
