Finally caught up with WEAPONS last night. It's like MAGNOLIA meets the darkest Grimm's fairy tale. Legitimately unnerving and disturbing, it made me shout several times and is one of the very few films in ages that swept me up from beginning to end. Director Zach Creggar is the real deal.

Solid second ep of PEACEMAKER, though it definitely slowed down after the premiere. This one was all about character, setting and comedy. Basically a connective tissue episode that ends where the new season truly begins.

Revisiting VERONICA MARS for the first time in ages. It holds up well, and I'd forgotten that the first season had that gritty, low budget UPN look to it. But that's part of the charm. It feels more handmade and realistic than many other shows, both then and now. This really was peak TV. #tvsky

Really dug the new episode of PEACEMAKER. The adjustment to the DCU is handled effortlessly. There's a slight tonal shift, but it's still got its edge. Cena is growing into a fine actor, and I look forward to the redemption arc the season has set up. Things are gonna get rough for this character.
