Got a new TCG Playmat for if I ever buy cards. If not, it’ll make a lovely decoration somewhere in my apartment.

Unrelated to anything squeaky but i am also a Pokémon fanatic. Gonna be fun this year because I’m headed to GO Fest. Got the Shedd Aquarium and the field museum of natural history right there too.

Well, he sort of fits on the bed. Easiest way to inflate this big fellow is on his side with that belly valve.

Pretty sure I operate in one of two modes. Either a slow accumulation of household chores over a few weeks of work ….. or mop everything out in four hours. There is no in-between.

Gross energy going into the new year. That makes a broken tooth crown and a missing package worth about 300 bucks. Grump grump grump

Goal 5: I need to watch the food intake a bit better this year. My distance running tends to keep my weight in check but a bit of gain in recent months means I need to be more vigilant. Could probably stand to go down 20 pounds or so but doing that while simultaneously training is a bit tricky.

Goal 4: I definitely need to work on being a bit more social. Not that I don’t get out and about sometimes, I just need to break out of the work, exercise/game, repeat thing I’ve been in the past few years.

Goal 3: I need to finally do something with my caribou character. I’ll probably commission a custom inflatable as that is more economical than a fursuit for the time being.

2. Once my wallet recovers from getting my car paid off, I fully intend to do some horseback riding lessons this year. Probably English as that is the flavor of the lesson barns in my area but I mainly just want to get the basics. Learn some basic care and that sort of thing while I’m at it.

Might as well have some goals for 2026 as this is the time of year to think about it. 1. I would like to run/race a half marathon at a minimum without injuring myself in the training process. Already run 5-7 mile long run days so working up to 13 and change should be attainable.

You mean I have to wait another month or two for it to be my year?

One toy down, one more up. It is the return of my game room squeak bleat.

Time to let the air out of the durr … at least for now. Gotta make room for other hooved things.

Hmmmm …. work has tied situational telework to school closings tomorrow if it snows. Probably the first time in a while that I’ve paid attention to that sort of thing haha. Definitely not as good as waking up at 6 to see if your school scrolled across the screen back in the day.

Seafood Thanksgiving this year as I had to cancel my travel plans. Good thing seafood boils are quick, tasty, and easy to put together on short notice.

Toys on toys is a good aesthetic.

Always can use more soft horse. Spirit is the 36 inch variant and Rain is the small version. Both very good soft friends.

For those that like some recycled wood art, a few giants were constructed in an arboretum not too far from here. Fellow that did these has done them across the US and even a few worldwide. Thomas Dambo is the artist.

Definitely my favorite time of year. Cool weather, vibrant fall colors, and plenty of crunchy leaves.

After cleaning my entire apartment, I just had to get the ol squeaky n bleat back out.

Despite all the craziness as of late, I’ve been keeping it at bay with game soundtracks and running lol. Getting lost in 16 bit synth wave, listening to the orchestral stuff in Silksong, or diving into the joy that is the entire Xenoblade trilogy soundtrack sustains me lol.

Well, it is Monday but at least I’ve got a large puff deer up. Definitely need more squeak deer around.

It is time once again for large toys. Deer and horses are my favorites lol.
