Xenoblade 2 extra WIP You know you I used to wonder why there wasn’t more Pandoria or Brighid fan art. Then I started drawing them and now I know. It’s been fun but tough 😤

For no particular reason I’m reminded of this super old tweet from ProZD that I will never forget as long as I live. “Gamers deserve nothing.”

So far it seems like the grad school experience is making yourself do a series of brain dead time wasting tasks that you don’t want to do so bad you can feel it in your bone marrow.

On an unrelated note, May 4th always reminds me I have wanted to do Star Wars smut for a long time. It's don't think I have a femme Jar Jar in me though. But I aspire to being able to live that free.

Oh man, I haven't got this level of engagement on my art since like...well it's been a long time. Thank you guys! Working on that other piece like I said.

Trying a new sketching style?!

I draw a lot of pin ups but that's not all I want to do. I mean at this point none of this matters so you guys will see all of it.

Hoping to post more stuff, I've got a few more pinups in a backlog I might share.

I have done this before but I can’t draw eyes all of a sudden? They keep coming out with the proportions off or asymmetrical in obvious bad ways, I can’t figure out where to put the iris. Really annoying. Why do I feel like I have to reteach myself how to draw every time I do it?

I’ve been dealing with so much decision paralysis lately I don’t know if I want to cry or barf.

Got a head angle that’s been kicking my ass for two days now.

I frequently run into issues where a pose isn’t working or an angle is tough to get right where I’m like “ok so how do other people do this?” Then I look for references for what I’m struggling with and the answer is often, “They don’t. You are just making life hard for no reason.”

In my defense it was spicy fan art stuff...so it's not like there are a TON of options for any given thing. But still. I dunno...maybe I'll go back and redo them or tweak them or just scrap them or I don't know. I mean we're talking about work I'm not even sure is post worthy so who cares?

I mean I know there's no such thing as an "original" idea. And part of this little exercise I'm on is trying stuff just to see if I can do it. It's just humbling when you keep getting reminded you aren't as clever as you think you are.

It's always nerve wracking to have worked on a piece for a while to just to stumble on someone else's piece that is a similar concept/pose/composition/whatever later on. That's happened to me like 3 different times today. All different pieces. So feeling a little hacky and derivative atm.

Rolled credits on Hades and finally started up Hades II and I am OBSESSED with the like shimmery effect all the character art has. I want to figure out how to do this like right now.
