haven’t seen this one since it first came out back in ‘08. i bought this particular copy from the same place i originally rented it (Hollywood Video) when they went out of business.

there’s a Halloween children’s book that my sister and i had as kids (so, from the 80s) that i’ve been trying to find for decades all that i remember about it is there’s a group of kids trick-or-treating that run into a bunch of different monsters who end up trick-or-treating with them…

up early on my day off and watching the 2001 “remake” of How to Make a Monster.

i got a dish of pumpkin and Oreo ice cream, and a first-time watch of 1408. it’s much needed after an eleven-hour workday.

i’ve watched as many movies in the last four days as i did in the entirety of August and September. it’s a pretty clear indication of how bad off i’ve been for a while now. the last three months have been a real struggle and i’m hoping for better days ahead.

i still (very) occasionally find something worthwhile on the grab-bag wall at Savers.

planning on watching Beware of the Blob when i get home from work. it’s a movie that totally freaked me out as a kid for just one scene, and i’m curious to see how that particular kindertrauma holds up.

i stopped by Target before work and picked up a few fun Halloween blankets (the cobweb one glows in the dark!) and a adorable pumpkin pillow. so, i’ve crafted a cozy and creepy spot to unwind and watch movies.
