Is there a free screenshot software that's as simple as the Windows Snipping Tool? There was a recent update to it that makes it auto-detect shapes you draw, which I don't want. I want to draw freehand. I just want to draw a little box on my screen, then get given a screenshot that I can draw on.

It's kind of dumb how in every day language "generational" means like "once in a generation (human beings)," but in gamer language "generational" means "once in a generation (video game consoles)." I think what bothers me is it gets used with the implied gravity of the former.

Maybe I’m a prude, but I think it’s very unserious that a silly little video game showcase that’s live streaming in the afternoon might do a smash cut gore montage with no warning. It’s a bit like if you could see red band movie trailers on daytime TV.

I think platform holders might underestimate how much easier it is to make an impulse purchase if they give you a tiny bit of money back. I'm talking like cents on the dollar. The idea that I'm paying ANY amount lower than the MSRP triggers the "I'm getting a deal!" response in my brain.

I'm still in the midst of writing the review for #Bat-Octoberfest, but The Adventures of Batman & Robin is a heck of an accomplishment. I'd still trim at least 10 maybe 15 minutes of it, but everything else is great. Also, it's an insane showcase for the aging Sega Genesis. #retrogaming

12 hours of Twilight Imperium yesterday. I won with these guys. I used their once-a-game “hero” ability to rove around the game board and scored 3 points to come from behind in the final round. What I love about this game is nobody even knew I had the points to win until the round ended.
