I’ve been creating a lot of wood textures from scratch this year and I’m quite pleased with how they look. I can definitely see the difference between my 2025 diffuse maps and 2024-23 🙂‍↕️I have no idea how to make stuff procedurally so I stick to my good ol 2D tools!

Life has been A Lot™️ lately so I'm seeking comfort in The Sims 2 once again: the toddler animations are so CUTE!

I like that The Sims team is latching onto systems that clearly scale well (custom events, custom venues, custom [thing]) - my problem is the UI that is becoming so bloated with content that it is becoming impossible to grasp where to start with all the options.
