Picked this up yesterday, and love it! Super fun, and love how the navigation computer is singularly unprepared for monsters, as well as the feuds with other computer systems over perceived slights.

Liking it more now. It only took 10 chapters for me to notice that there are 3 symbols which can appear before each chapter, letting us know where the story takes place.

I wish I liked Strength of the Few (book 2) as much. It's doing more, narratively, and I understand the reasons, I'm just not enjoying it as much. Yet, at least. Plugging away at it.

A friend's dad grew up with turkeys. A rain barrel was in their pen. One day, a turkey jumped up to the lip. A 2nd, wanting to see what was there, jumped up and knocked #1 into the water. Repeat until barrel full of drowned turkeys. Happy Thanksgiving!
