It's hard not to feel stuck and left behind while seeing everyone go to conventions with mutual friends and their reciprocated Interests. I miss having someone to do that stuff with. 🫤 I just want to be wanted in those spaces instead of just being emotional support until other better options appear

"I don't want to think about that right now" is a perfectly valid response to something upsetting or stressful, but only if eventually you actually do find an appropriate "right now." You have to feel bad about something before you can move on from it. Compartmentalizing forever is just repression.
