Recently won a prize for my latest zine/essay, I should definitely publish it in English

It kills the joy of sculpting the project as you go. What I want to draw, to create, is there (within the page) but still impossible to define by pompous empty words. It will change as the pencil steps on the paper, so let it be

For the past 2 or 3 weeks I’ve been working on an application for grant to make my next book. I hate it, I really just want to draw

So, Halloween will be over by 8pm EST, right?

I want to read new things, not the same u know. And there’s so many things to read why should I re-read something?

Might be an #hottopic but I don’t believe in replay value, specially for comics

Been reading a lot of Camus and I feel like I found my soulmate, yes

I need more people to read “Education” by John Hankiewicz, we need to talk about this book and you don’t know it

October will be a month of launches 🚀 Can’t wait to show these projects I’ve been working on these past months

During my absence here I had an exhibition at the International Comic Festival in Beja showcasing my latest zine “tuas palavras minhas” or “ever so slightly” in ENG

I’ve been away for 6 months but this year is passing so fast it almost felt like just 1 month

I saw @dialhforhagai.bsky.social rave about the work of @a-mmatos.bsky.social, and @fieldmouse.press doesn’t usually miss, so I picked this up. Flipping through it, I am very excited to make a tea and just absorb it all. (Also: lovely to say hi irl to @sequential.li.)

Started a new short comic today! 🙇‍♀️

But I also been super busy because I got the final ok to organize the third edition of Feira Autónoma - a Fair for independent publishing!!

I woke up and decided to unleash pictures and information onto this app, like the strong independent woman I am

I also presented “Journey” by Yuichi Yokoyama at the Comic Book Clube in Porto. And we had a blast just talking about trains and public transportation for 2 hours 🙂‍↕️

Also last week I printed a small run of totebags I had laying around to take to @grafcomic.com ! 😏😳

I gave a surprise class at Etic (Lisbon) for students of the "Illustration for New Media" course. It was a mix of getting to know me/my work and some exercises to deconstruct their projects based on prompts from Yoko Ono's book "Grapefruit"

No yappin has been occurring because no comics have been drawn and no cakes have been baked for the past 2 weeks 😡

Just watched the mos recent severance episode, it’s a big yes but also a big ????

And on yapping about comics irl I'll be presenting Yokoyama's book “Travel” at the Comic Book Club organised by the Porto artists' collective Goteira ✨

I’ve been enjoying bluesky more than expected bc all I do is come here and yap about making comics and baking things
