one thing i like about cs1 is that it always feels like you’re about to die, but dying is actually pretty rare. it’s precarious, but not entirely lethal, which is both true of the world and respectful to the player. for a lot of the game you don’t know where you’ll get stabilizer next!

(spoilers?) ive been playing citizen sleeper 2 recently and it’s great! it’s consuming my mind in the same was that cs1 did. the thing that i’m pushing against is that it’s the antithesis to cs1. in cs1, you’re on the run but also stuck in place. when you leave the eye, the game ends.
