I don't think there is one way to build a team, but I continue to go back to the Phillies have 4 of the top 40 pitchers in innings pitched since 2023 currently in their rotation, and a 5th who was in it last year. Rotation stability continues to be the cleanest way to build a good team.

When the Phillies fired Rob you could see all of the signs of the bounce back coming. The schedule was much easier, Wheeler was back, Duran was coming back, and they were dealing with some bad luck. This does not have that feel.

The "fun" thing about this is both it can be applied to their FO and their trades, and their ownership and how they are trying to end the sport in the next CBA
