Another new design in progress for #WIPWednesday With my latest knits I want to explore the diversity of South Africa's flora and fauna, which form 10%-15% of the world's plant and marine life. This cowl celebrates the emperor swallowtail, South Africa's largest butterfly! 🦋 #knitsky #knit 🧶

Another older blanket for #showmeyourknits 🧶 This one was knitted using lone skeins from my stash and is made entirely of squares from the Daisy and Storm website! I love these squares, and I see that there have been a few new releases this year including an adorable Robin! 🐦 daisyandstorm.com

New knitting adventures! ☺️🧡❤️ Most aloe plants flower during the winter and they often attract sunbirds! As the stalks are just starting to grow, I decided to design a pair of socks inspired by the aloe flowers clusters 🌼 The yarn is by Miss la Motte and is called perfectly poppy. #knitsky #knit 🧶

It's #showmeyourknits blankets week!! This blanket is about 15 years old, at this time blankets was pretty much all I made (knit and crochet). It's just been repaired, and I think it still looks wonderful! The pattern was from an old leaflet that was gifted to me by a friend! ☺️💚❤️💜

Misty waters, the beautiful brook - inspired by water and all the colours it embodies. For the pattern, I've chosen the Sirocco socks to emulate the sinuous lines and movement of the water surface & for the yarn a skein of Miss la Motte to represent all the different shades of blue, green and brown.

#showmeyourknits this week is st st, and obviously I don't love it as much as I thought because I couldn't find one plain knit from the past 2.5 years 😮 I did knit two pairs of Painting Rainbows (top) which alternates st st and reverse, and a coat. The vanilla socks and marled are older knits!🧦 💕🧶
