We learned so much about airborne transmission in the last 5 years, yet have done little with that knowledge. We could have clean air benchmarks in public spaces. Free respirators to anyone who needs them. PSAs about masking. We could have greatly reduced ALL airborne disease.

Okay, worst thing I'm experiencing in this crash (besides, you know, all of it): I try to stay hydrated. I get up to pee. My body/nervous system take FOREVER to return to a restful state again when I get back to bed. By which point....I HAVE TO PEE AGAIN. #ME/CFS #NEISVoid #ChronicIllness

Things COVID has proven: 1) The job you were told couldn’t be done remotely, can be done remotely. 2) Many disabled workers could have been working from home, but corporations just didn’t want them to. 3) Internet is a utility and not a luxury. 4) Universal healthcare is a necessity.

If you want to help disabled people fight New York's proposed mask ban... wear a mask. If more people would mask up in solidarity, these important accessibility tools would be harder to ban. Help us normalize masking and protect your health in the process!

I've spent long enough back on threads that bluesky overwhelms me now. Not even the content. The visuals? The text is bigger I think and switching between the two makes my brain feel weird.

I know that the unraveling of the republic is a very bad time for many of us and we are confronting experiences that are unprecedented in many ways but fascism and oppression are not a sudden development in this country and it is deeply insulting to act brand new about it.

It’s important to understand that when a white person says “this has never happened before” or compares some oppressive behavior to a foreign regime, but it *did* happen here to Black/brown people for years/decades/centuries, it represents a massive blow to solidarity. It’s selfish.
