Hey all! Got some personal news on the job front. In the coming weeks, I'll be transitioning to a different position within Bungie. I'll still be dedicated to Destiny 2, but with a few different focuses and responsibilities under the title of Principal Communications Manager.

Oh. Sundered Doctrine Contest Make-up is on Feb 22. It takes place on Rhulk’s Pyramid Ship in Savathun’s Throne World. Feb 22 is the anniversary of The Witch Queen. Happy accident, all things considered. Honestly didn’t realize until after we’d announced the date.

Coming up for air: I cannot comprehend continued layoffs throughout tech, especially in games, when industry leading product releases still lead to layoffs. PEOPLE OVER PROFIT. I now go back down into my hole trying to figure what, if anything, I can do to help mold a better futute.

Nerding out a bit here as Trials has a lot of sentimental value to me - I'd joined Bungie just before the first Trials weekend of Destiny 1, and playing 36 hours of 3v3 elim over that first 3-day weekend really solidified my love for the game.

If you need a refresher, hit our recent Heresy PvP article for all the details on Trials changes for this weekend. One point of confusion I'm seeing is around matchmaking after a 7 win streak on the Flawless Lighthouse Passage.

"A storm's coming, I feel it in my hip." For me it's "A Trials marathon is coming, I feel it in my Trials Tattoo." Happy Valentines Day to my wonderful wife who I won't see until Tuesday reset because I'll be on Mercury fighting for my life.
