We're investigating an issue where players who put Chronologs into the Vault lose any additional claimed Chronologs. At this time, we recommend not putting any Chronologs in the Vault, and to take any out if some were put in there. More information will be provided when available.

The Desert Perpetual Epic Raid contest mode opens this Saturday at 10:00 AM PT. Guardians seeking to take on this challenge are recommended to have a minimum of 300 Power as less Power will deal reduced damage against the epic difficulty foes found in the raid.

Live Update for additional Fireteam and Pinnacle Ops rewards.

We have further reduced the score total required to earn Tier 5 rewards down to 1,150,000 (at 450 Power or above).

We've prepared a fix for the Lightweight Swords issue. To avoid disabling them, we'll be deploying the fix in the September 23 update instead of a Live Update today. Get your swings in for a few more days!

As lightweight swords are generating a lot more damage than intended due to a gameplay bug, we'll be temporarily disabling them tomorrow with a Live Update. Until then, enjoy The Slashening. ⚔️

We are investigating an issue where players are unable to respawn in Solo Ops activities after dying. We are attempting to solve this issue as soon as we're able. More information will be provided when available.

We're investigating reports that inspecting weapons in the Iron Banner Event Home causes freezing issues on Xbox consoles. Until we can ship out a fix, we recommend Xbox players not inspect Iron Banner weapons. More information will be provided when available.

We've heard your feedback on the current Iron Banner armor set as well as the overall state of unique and compelling earned rewards. The overall balance in paid and earned armor cosmetics is off for this season and we're aiming to adjust our approach to earned rewards in the future.

Due to an issue, we are temporarily disabling the Sturm Exotic Hand Cannon in Trials of Osiris.

We have deployed a Live Update to improve portal rewards and scoring. Players may need to sign out and sign back in for changes to take effect. Details: bung.ie/4gjbOZP

We are seeing feedback from PvP players that Graviton Spike and spreadshot Hand Cannons still feel too oppressive to play against.

We are investigating issues where some armor set pieces, ornaments, emotes, and finishers have higher than intended Bright Dust and Silver prices in the Eververse.

Due to an issue where the Orchestral Performance Seasonal Challenge could not be completed in Portal activities, we have auto-completed this challenge for all players.

UPDATE: Holofoil visuals swapped to mitigate Xbox crash.

We are investigating reports of issues regarding power and progression within the Portal. We will provide additional details when possible.

Please ensure you have inventory space to receive Chronologs.

We are temporarily disabling the slow capture ruleset for Collision in competitive due to an issue where it is affecting the scoring in Clash. This should fix an issue where Clash matches were finishing with a score of 7.

We are investigating an issue where the Obsidian Durasteel, Cyborg Nemesis and Marauder Progeny universal ornaments cannot be equipped. These ornaments are still on your account and will be available again after we issue a fix in a future update.

Update on Reclaim soft-lock.

Holofoils disabled for Xbox crashes.

We are aware of an issue where some Armor pieces are displaying an incorrect stat instead of its power level. This is a visual bug and will not affect the gear's performance. This issue will be resolved in update 9.1.0.1, planned to deploy next Tuesday.

Update to the TWID: We've been informed that the "4 Piece | Too Old For This" set bonus was incorrect due to a bad build. The real set bonus is, "Defeating a powerful combatant with a Finisher grants you Special ammo progress and replenishes a small amount of health."

UPDATE: The Heavy Metal launch node on the Tower map has been removed. Players can still access this activity via Crucible Ops or the Heavy Metal Event Home.

We're investigating issues where launching Heavy Metal from the Tower node drops blue gear and older legendary gear. Until we can disable the node, we recommend launching the activity from the Portal.

Due to an issue where the Score Accelerator in the Portal wasn't correctly forecasting scores, it has been disabled until a fix can be deployed at a later date. More info. in the screenshot and alt text.

Based on player feedback, we have disabled the Grappler modifier in all Portal activities. In a future update, the modifier will return only as a selectable option when customizing activities.

With Destiny 2 Update 9.1.0, we have a round of Weapon, Armor, and Ability Sandbox changes coming to both PvP and PvE experiences. We'd like to note a list of items on the PvP list that we've been seeing feedback on from players, specifically things that feel oppressive in PvP combat:

Portal modifier has been swapped for the remainder of the week.

Correction: In today's TWID, we incorrectly said that the Titan's Void Aspect, Bastion, would have a faster cooldown in PvP - this is incorrect. Bastion will have a faster cooldown in PvE. The TWID has been updated with the correct information.

UPDATE: To mitigate PlayStation 4 and 5 console crashes, we have temporarily swapped the appearance of the Gladius Mark armor ornament for Titans. This change will be reverted once we are able to release a full fix for the issue in an upcoming patch.

We've been working through player feedback from the previous TWID and reassessing our announced rewards updates for the Portal. We will be reverting the following changes which were planned for Destiny 2 Update 9.1.0:

We're investigating an issue where players who have the Gladius armor ornament set equipped on PS4, or the PS4 version of D2 while playing on PS5, will crash if they enter Portal activities. Those affected are recommended to unequip the ornaments until the issue is resolved.

As we continue to process feedback from our most recent TWID, we have a change regarding our plans for Prime Engrams to announce today. We will be reverting the previously announced change for Destiny 2 Update 9.1.0 that would require players to decrypt Prime Engrams in the Tower.

Due to an issue where the Cross Counter perk on Liar's Handshake can activate from all damage sources, it has been disabled in all Crucible activities.

UPDATE: We have deployed a server-side fix to resolve the issue where Crucible matches would not drop Tier 5 gear for players who had reached 450 Power. We're continuing to monitor reward drops in the Portal.

We’re investigating an issue where Crucible matches are not consistently rewarding Tier 5 gear once players have reached 450 Power. This is an unintentional side effect of fixing an issue where sometimes loot would not drop at all. We will provide additional details when available.

Crucible reward changes went live today in Update 9.0.0.6 and more are on the way in 9.1.0.

New cheat detections are being rolled out today for Destiny 2. Once in place, a ban wave will be issued to players found cheating in PvE and PvP content. We are expecting this to be completed within the next few hours.

Bans are being issued daily to players found cheating within the Crucible, including Competitive and Trials of Osiris Playlists. Additionally, further bans are being issued to players and teams who are found to be cheating, or benefitting from cheating, within the Desert Perpetual Raid.

We are currently tracking an issue affecting rewards for players at exactly power 450 for grade A scores in the Portal. We recommend aiming for B or B+ grades in the meantime while we work on a fix.

We have issued a ban wave against fireteams who were found cheating during The Desert Perpetual Contest Mode. This ban wave includes players who benefitted from cheaters in their fireteam.

Due to an issue where Dead Messenger can output more damage than intended in PvP activities, it has been disabled within those activities until a fix can be deployed in a future update.

We have resolved an issue where XP for the Arms Week event was not being granted upon activity completion in the Portal. Players will now be able to progress through the Arms Week event reward track by completing activities in the Portal, in addition to completing the Daily and Weekly challenges.

UPDATE: We have resolved the issue where PlayStation purchases of the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition since July 29th were not granting access to The Edge of Fate campaign. Players who were in this state should now have access to the expansion as expected.

We are working with our partners to investigate an issue where The Edge of Fate expansion cannot be accessed after purchasing the Year of Prophecy Ultimate Edition through the PlayStation Store.
