In hindsight it was pretty stormy looking to be so high up, but the view the other direction was very sunny. On a big wheel at the bottom of Buchanan Street, a ride that is nowhere near exciting enough for the kids these days.

Apropros to my last post I have an increasing number of prints that I would like to hang. Not a mismatched vintage frame type and find IKEA frames fiddly to use, anyone got recommendations for cheap, plain and very easy to hang / convenient photo frames?

Doing a print exchange (getting sent / sending random people prints) and these are the 3 I went with. For all the time I have spent taking landscape photos its definitely the area I had the least choices I was happy with, but very happy with these ones

It's hard to overstate how LLMs are breaking the foundation of how we communicate in dev community spaces like github repos, forums, comments etc. Managing that stuff well involves building trust, and there's a baseline expectation of good faith interaction that's extremely hard to establish now.

Very rare aimless wander

The thing you always have to understand when faced with paens to "grindset culture" is that a 60+ hour week is very different in the C-suite compared to the production line. The former is largely made of up doing whatever you want, socialising ("networking") and chatting shit.

Finally time to sort out my photo storage, had a few big scares and (at least) 1 data loss. I have 6TB so far (bad at culling). Likely going to get a NAS, seems to be between UGreen vs Synology. Suggestions for someone tech literate but does not enjoy having to fiddle about to make things work?

Have wanted to go to the Enchanted Forest for a while now and finally made it. Was a nice experience, cool lights, well organised, kids absolutely loved it.

On the topic of camping, second time I have been dissapointed by trendy and expensive "premium" tents. MSR Hubba Hubba first and now the Durston X-Mid Pro 2 have both held up very poorly when its even just a bit windy. My cheap Vango Banshee 200 in comparison fares much better.
