After ~15 years in the profession, I've finally landed on a research/writing project that doesn't feel like a chore. Which is great but also omg what an ever expanding project how will it ever become a real thing and not just me getting excited about obscure midcentury documents.

My power went out for the whole afternoon yesterday, on this, the last weekend before school starts and it made for the perfect day.

I've been looking into getting a low tech radio for the kitchen so I can continue my public radio driveway moments + put on some jazz w/o having to touch my phone. But this weekend I remembered 1) I live in the national radio quiet zone and 2) on the side of a hill. I don't get those stations!
