I talked to four Oakland youth about report from the Alameda County DA's office that shows that gunshot wounds are the leading cause of death for people 24 and younger. While the young folks weren't surprised by the stat, they say that there's more to the story.

Went to a great session hosted by the Association of Gun Violence Reporters. I ALWAYS appreciate when people acknowledge suicide by firearm is gun violence but it's not often reported as it. Will also be rethinking gun violence stories as public health stories vs crime stories. TY
