I was honoured to unveil a plaque for Sam Green, the first openly gay politician to be elected in the UK. He did so much for his community and his courage and dedication remind us to keep championing equality, respect and the rights of everybody.

Today I met with President Abbas. We discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the need to end the appalling suffering of Palestinians, secure the release of the hostages still held in brutal captivity by the Hamas terrorists, and how we ensure a two-state solution.

Since the UK Supreme Court’s ruling, I have received many messages from constituents who are concerned about the rights of trans people. I too am concerned by reports of rising discrimination as well as confusion over the ruling’s interaction with the Gender Recognition Act.

I have yet to receive an explanation from Hong Kong authorities for why I was denied entry. The UK must stand firm in defending democratic values & free speech - both at home & abroad. It's time for a UK-China audit to ensure we are clear-eyed to the risks posed by China & how we engage with them.

I have become injured this morning in my ankle. This is abysmal. I hate not being able to go places and have to use my umbrella as a makeshift cane. Called the doc and they told me to rest it and take painkillers.

Donald Trump returning to the White House will be deeply worrying for millions of people in the UK and around the world. With a President who promises trade wars, undermines NATO and praises Vladimir Putin, the threats to our national security and our economy are clear.
