So we have yet another U-turn from the Government, which has finally seen sense and scrapped its doomed plans to introduce mandatory Digital ID cards. This is something the @libdems.org.uk and I have long been calling for.

We have heard hints from the Government that it plans to reduce the business rates for pubs. But now is the time to cut rates for all high street businesses – something I and the @libdems.org.uk have long been calling for.

On Saturday, I held one of my regular in-person surgeries - this week in Cambourne. I hold surgeries every week, both online and across St Neots and Mid Cambs, where constituents can arrange to meet with me to discuss particular issues concerning them.

Existing communities within the Oxford Cambridge Growth Corridor must be able to actively participate in and benefit from housing growth, rather than simply absorbing its pressures. That's the point that I stressed in a debate on the Government's 'Ox-Cam Growth Corridor' ambitions last week.

Today I delivered a letter to No 10 Downing Street, along with the Principal of Impington Village College (IVC), Jo Sale, and campaigners, urging the Prime Minister to reverse cuts which will affect funding for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 20 state schools across the country.

Today I attended the Remembrance parade and service at Cambourne Church and lay a wreath in memory of all those who lost their lives in service for our country.

We Liberal Democrats have taken the fight for fairer hospice funding to the Prime Minister. Earlier this week I joined my constituent, Vivien, whose family and husband were supported by Arthur Rank before he died from a rare cancer, to deliver the petition to 10 Downing Street.

Today, I planted a tribute in the Constituency Garden of Remembrance in Parliament, which is hosted in partnership with the Royal British Legion.

Following the shocking attack on a train near Huntingdon over the weekend, I took the time yesterday to thank Cambridgeshire's emergency services as well as rail passengers and staff for their quick response and extraordinary bravery in the face of such danger.

Today I joined my constituent Vivien Biggs and other campaigners, and we handed in our petition at 10 Downing Street calling for the Government to save the beds at @arthurrankhospice.bsky.social.

I'm deeply concerned to hear of the Government's decision to cut funding for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) from the academic year 2026 to 2027 in state schools. Please see here my statement on this.

Today, alongside my Lib Dem colleague @charlotte-cane-mp.bsky.social MP, I visited the @arthurrankhospice.bsky.social saw the wonderful facilities, and met with Deputy CEO Sara Robins. The hospice is set to lose almost £1 million in funding next year, leading to a loss of 9 out of its 23 beds.

I too am shocked and saddened by the horrific attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester today. That this happened on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, makes it all the more appalling.

I am utterly dismayed at the news that the Arthur Rank Hospice @arthurrankhospice.bsky.social, which provides such important care to people across my constituency, is facing a huge funding cut which could lead to it closing 9 out of 23 beds and increasing pressure on demand for hospital beds.

The NHS is my top priority. And with so many constituents contacting me about problems they are having with health services, I have launched an online health survey to find out more about the issues people are facing and to raise these with the Government to bring about much needed change.
