As DC was taken over by Trump’s secret police, where were congressional Democrats? They weren’t in DC and some weren’t even in the US. Instead of fighting back against the authoritarian takeover here at home, 22 House “Democrats” were being spoon-fed lies about Gaza on a trip paid for by AIPAC.

Something the Mamdani win demonstrates is the extent to which the reigning cadre of ancient, establishment, centrist Dems think it’s more important to be on good terms with their GOP colleagues than it is to represent their own voters, and how thoroughly sick of this literally everyone is.

The thing about the Khalil case is that it's very very good that he's free now but you can't have it take three months between "the government kidnaps you off the street for no basis reason whatsoever" and "a judge makes them let you go." You just can't.
