The Artemis II crew just gave us an 80's sitcom intro and it's absolutely hilarious! Freeze frames, cheesy grins, theme song energy. These are the four humans who are about to around the Moon. NASA said fun and we are here for it!

Today, the Artemis II crew will fly farther than any human has before. This is what investing in science and innovation can do.

It's that time of year again, friends. The enormous fly is back in residence in my home office. Where does he come from? Where does he go? And so on and so forth. Anyway he's currently not making much noise, which I appreciate. Will keep you appraised of the situation.

Amazing to watch last night, even if it left me a bit tired tonight. Wonderful reminder of the brilliant things humans are capable of, particularly in these Interesting Times. Parallels with Apollo 8 abound.

This is absolutely my favourite time of year. It’s so fresh and new and bright. The birds are about and making their happy racket, the sky is clear for miles and all the plants are looking amazing.

This is (I think) a Greater Blue-Eared Starling (Lamprotornis chalybaeus) & the amazing chrome job is their super-power. They've evolved to manipulate light in VERY specific ways, attracting mates, intimidating rivals. Let's look at the nanostructures that bring this bling into being.

MS Word tip for the day. If you, like me, are thrown into a blinding rage every time you want to save anything in Word because the the default save menu is the absolute worst, you can press “F12” on the top keyboard row, and you’ll be taken to the old fashioned Save As box. No more rage.
