Solid showing that on the road, 4 unbeaten, and a clean sheet. Wasn’t perfect but lots of positives from today to end the festive period with 10 points and sat in 5th with a good break now till our next league game. Your thoughts using

Knibbs is our most underrated player and is my player of 2024. It's no accident that our results and performances are better with him the middle. So important to the press and pops up with vital goals too

I'd go with Wing, the centre back pairing not far behind.

Wing, Bindon, Smith, Knibbs, Mbengue, Pereria, someone else perhaps? Who is your Reading FC player of 2024? An incredibly tough decision for me, I am leaning towards Lewis Wing, but genuinely could be a case for 6-7 players!

Thoughts on today’s club statement? Feels positive that there is an air of transparency and gratitude in there at least. Stop notice being removed from SCL feels like a small but vital piece of the process though

1-1 at half time, Mansfield have been pretty good. Would have been fortunate to be winning at half time

Real lack of cohesion, and some poor defensive performances. Not overly surprised but squad looks like a group who’ve lost a leader and belief in themselves. Got some Xmas dinner in Lincoln which may have more threat however after full time.

Quintessential Reading FC first half away from home. Start slow, go behind, slowly improve, have big moments go against you and then hope eradicated.

One of the major issues I think we have is Knibbs out on the left, makes us much weaker, not only in the centre but also later in games, gives us no ability to change tempo or flow off the bench. Desperate need for Kelvin to return, or Camara to step up even slightly

Felt like all the accumulative luck we've experienced in every home game this season went against us today. Last to every 2nd ball, sloppy passes, mishit shots. Hopefully it's an anomaly and we don't carry this on to next week. All about how we react. Can't dwell on this and move on.

Worst home performance of 2024 by quite a way unfortunately, Mbengue off injured, and totally outplayed from start to finish by Blackpool who totally deserved all 3 points.

It would be *massive*. It’d make the scenes at Wycombe last year look like a tea party. A heavy defeat would do the polar opposite though, so I’m crossing everything we put in a confident performance even if it’s not a win.

A win tomorrow would be absolute rocket fuel for all of us. Praying that the players can put in a performance.
