I don't usually recommend books before I finish them, but I'm making an exception for Danya Ruttenberg's "On Repentance and Repair". A rich text, written in a very accessible way. I've been reading it piecemeal and taking time to ponder sections, because there is a lot to digest (in a good way).

The author describes how aspects of Jewish philosophy can be used as a lens, and is approachable for readers of any (or no) particular faith or level of background knowledge on the subject.

Thoroughly researched examples ranging from individual conflicts, to groups, to broader societal injustices, eg , how can a nation make amends. The author @theradr.bsky.social is on here, and well worth following!

LAWSUIT UPDATE. Meeting my lawyer tonight to finish filling out the paperwork for me (finally!) getting *five months* of pay from being on medical leave from my heart attack last November He’s been such a gem, and I’m so glad he’s taken my case.
