Things to know: Land and ocean remove half of our COâ emissions yearly. For climate and us, the rate of removal matters. This rate slows over time. Sure, all that COâ will eventually end up in the ocean over thousands of years, but it's not fast enough. We have to stop burning fossil fuels!
