Things to know: Land and ocean remove half of our CO₂ emissions yearly. For climate and us, the rate of removal matters. This rate slows over time. Sure, all that CO₂ will eventually end up in the ocean over thousands of years, but it's not fast enough. We have to stop burning fossil fuels!
