Anyway, here's some thoughts that nobody asked for. If you don't want some light spoilers then uhh skip this thread but I'll try to be vague about late game stuff.

My one sentence Silksong review: It had some moments so bad and unfun that I would have quit any other game, but it had some moments so incredible that I just *had* to see it all.

Spent the night farming Silksong's hunter's journal. Just a few more things left for me to do and it'll finally be time to go fight the final boss and wrap this thing up (just in time for Yotei). I think this will end up being one of those video game accomplishments that I'm super proud of.

Alright, 15 hours into Silksong I'm comfortable saying its *wildly* inconsistent. I don't think they got the "quality over quantity" memo. Some of these boss fights are incredible, others are unfun and random. What's the point of a fight you can't learn from or iterate on?

If we cannot all be on the same page that the sitting president threatening to invade a US city is fascist dictator shit then truly I do not know what to do.

I can't tell if Silksong is SIGNIFICANTLY harder or if it just has a pacing issue, but fair warning that Moorwing (in the first few hours of the game) took me 4x as long as long to beat as The Radiance took me last night. And was way less satisfying 😓

Loving silksong but being reminded of my gaming hot take which is that "lose all your money if you die twice" is a shit game mechanic. Truly the jumpscare of the gaming world. Artificially stressful.

I get that it really *should* have been a pack-in, but I really do recommend the Switch 2 Welcome Tour. It's well worth the 10 dollars IMO, the minigames are really quite good (despite some being outright cruel) and the product design insight is.. way deeper than I ever expected.
