A lot has been going on in the world these past months, that is outrageous and disheartening. But even on my homefront with old parents, changes occour that are sad and challenging. I rest a lot when not dealing with this and follow the news through podcasts. Sending you all good wishes! 💖

As we resist Trump’s tyranny, America gains solidarity. As we gain solidarity, we feel more courageous. As we feel courageous and stand up to Trump, we weaken him and his regime. As we weaken Trump and his regime, we have less to fear.

No matter how many times Republicans say otherwise, there is *no way* they can pay for their tax cuts for the rich without gutting healthcare and food assistance for the poor — along with other programs that millions of people rely on. Don't believe their lies for a second.

Any traders with inside information that Trump was going to walk back his tariffs — some of them, presumably, Trump family members and cronies — just made a fortune. It all feels like chaos until you look more closely at who is winning.

The upward redistribution of wealth over the past 50 years has shifted $80 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1%.  That’s $80 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of the working class. The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

Remember: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.  You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

The message is: crowd large. Many politicians, administrators, and business leaders, in bowing to Trump, have drawn confidence and comfort from the perceived vibe shift. Events like this puncture that delusion.

We expected hundreds of thousands of people yesterday. Instead, millions of Americans flooded the streets to demand an end to Trump’s authoritarian power grab. Trump and Musk have spent their first 75 days in office trying to overwhelm us and make us feel powerless, but we’re not going anywhere.

If the question is "how is this allowed?" or "how is this legal?" the answer will always be found by remembering laws aren't self executing and someone has to enforce them. Laws aren't magic, and laws by themselves prevent nothing. If a law is not enforced, it's just words on paper.

Just a reminder: having a functional moral compass right now is going to make you feel bad all the time; don’t mistakenly hate yourself for that.
