Einstürzende Neubauten's album Ende Neu is quite far along in their catalog but may be one of their most accessible albums. They were there at the beginning of what could be called industrial music. Can't get much more industrial than using angle grinders and beating on grocery carts hey!

First I explain the difference between industrial and EBM then recommend Throbbing Gristle. Jazzfunk Greats is a good enough intro.
