How sweet, fresh meat. Nearing the end of a 5-month renovation of my newest project, and it's time for the fun to begin.

On Quakebelly. Unlike LA quakes, which end just as you realize what they are, today's
#Bangkok
quake went on for an interminable time. I shrugged it off until a sick feeling came on, and I realized the ground was still moving. For at least 5 to 6 very disturbing minutes.

Building under construction collapsed in Bangkok's Chatuchak. Quakes of this size are uncommon, and Bangkok's placement on soft marine flood basin clay likely amplified quake impact.

I've experienced many quakes, but whatever just hit Thailand seemed massive. I still feel motion 2 minutes later as Bangkok's gelatinous foundation settles.

Just left Pasadena after a quick unscheduled visit home. Major fires across LA area fueled by powerful Santa Ana winds.

I understand well the inhumanity of US health care but still thought hospitals applied ded. reasoning & investigation to remedy illness. Past 3 days at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena have dispelled that assumption.
