NEW: Salesloft said hackers accessed its GitHub account between March and June of this year. During that time, they were able to access data that later helped them steal information from several customers, such as Bugcrowd, Cloudflare, Google, Proofpoint, among others, some likely still unknown.

Salesloft says Drift customer data thefts linked to March GitHub account hack | TechCrunch
The breach, now known to have begun in March, raises questions about why it took six months for Salesloft to detect the breach.

Death Stranding 2 is the most beautiful game I've ever experienced or even thought possible, really. Words utterly fail me. This meditation on connectedness and steadfastness when confronted with shattering grief moved my very soul. I award 13 out of 10 points. The best ever.

Added an Elta Solar 42F drone synthesizer to my studio. This instrument is just... magnificent. One of the most immersive and rewarding desktop synthesizers I've ever played. Top-notch build quality and electronics. Perfect for ambient music compositions.

Working on a modular ambient set using time-lapse photography for visuals. I chose heresy and used a super fast BPM to drive the patch. Result? Beautiful ambient textures that remind me of the staccato elements in the Oppenheimer soundtrack. I'll share a sample if I still like the patch tomorrow.

Joann Fabrics is going out of business and scammers are taking advantage of people looking for deals. There is a pretty well done fake site, joannofficial dot com, that has a fully functioning catalog and shopping cart. My wife got tricked this evening. 1/5

The soundtrack for the film Upgrade is chef's kiss good. Lush dystopian soundscapes with moments of harsh noise. It captures the tension between being human and ceding control to a machine. Thanks,

Hobby-wise, all I want is to do is perform modular sets in front of a live audience, no matter how small. I spent years doing performances on various musical instruments. It was such an awesome rush. I miss that feeling dearly.

Just for your interest - there's my Elka Rhapsody 490, perched atop my old ARP Pro-Soloist and Korg Lambda (my mighty "Tower of Cheese") - you can see the MXR Phase 90 there, with a TC Electronics June 60 Chorus to thicken everything up. 🙂 An absolutely horrendous racket ensues, I just love it.

Reflecting on my journey to here: I was an angry little kid on Quake multiplayer. Friends I made there introduced me to the hacking scene. I started listening to NIN because of the Quake soundtrack. NIN is why I learned audio production. Quake truly shaped my professional and personal life.

I released “The Pyre” by Bad Domain. It’s about sifting through the ashes of life’s wreckage to find peace. Stylistically, it’s electronic shoegaze—a wall of sound that ebbs and flows instead of following typical song structures. It’s meant to wash over you.

here's a gift for y'all. Les Documents Interdits (The Forbidden Files), 13 short found footage stories from 1989 that, if not horror, are undeniably Weird. Interesting as one of the earliest examples of the genre and just genuinely superb art, I absolutely love it:

Since we were discussing technique wrt electronic music yesterday, I'd like to mention that I sometimes make videos about stuff you can do with modular synths. Here is a video about using Serge style slope generators to make obnoxious noise.
