I had a long conversation about storytelling this weekend. A friend pointed out these panels from Akimi Yoshida's Banana Fish v8 as a real cool example of the strength of abstraction. just finished WEEABOO by @sallataire.bsky.social and damn did it make me nostalgic for my days of absolute anime nerddom in high school. i miss trading volumes of Death Note and DNAngel across the lunch table! and planning cosplay i never actually did!
