I’m interested to hear people’s thoughts on this. I have mixed feelings about messing with recordings of music with such a rich history. But then again what we can do with new technology is also exciting.

Just to say something about the process…I’ve had these tapes for years but made new recordings, mastered them in audacity to get them sounding as nice as I could, then fed them into some free vocal removal software, where I was able to crudely separate them into drums/voice/ghaita files.
