In the post-Kokomo days of hs, the Beach Boys were the uncoolest band possible. My bff & I swore by Pet Sounds (and SMiLE fragments) and our friend circle cringed. I wouldn't have survived that time without Brian Wilson's gentle message. To see his genius restored over time was edifying. RIP
