Had quite the experience trying to get to London today. Barely 20 mins into the journey, the train is cancelled at Derby and we’re all told to get a train to Birmingham and then connect to London that way. (Sadly there was a fatality on the line ahead of us.)

If the amount paid was high enough, I would claw back the 30+ hours I spend each week at a mind-numbing job and do lots of wonderful things. Without the stress and pressure of covering the basics in life. Right now, it would mean I could spend more time with my ill dad.

I got the matte PLA to work :D This printed really well with hardly any supports and they snapped off so clean! I might try printing in a slightly different orientation to get a better finish on the topline of the head and nose, but otherwise I am delighted :D #NomadSculpt #BambuLab #3DPrint

Had various dreams last night, including one where I met a lovely fella at an art class or life drawing session. My subconscious is cruel.

I have discovered my super power. I am so inconsequential that I might as well be invisible. I had about a third of my hair coloured ELECTRIC PINK yesterday. My power is so effective that none of my coworkers noticed today lol

Slow realisation why it has been hard to juggle all my ‘stuff’ when I don’t actually have a lot of stuff. When I lived alone, I had all my own space. Enough space for my stuff to have its proper place. Moving back home meant squeezing a whole life into a single room. Nothing is allowed to breathe

And the finished dog :3 Its lovely to just chip away at sculpts, tweaking and improving in increments and then seeing it come together. This ended up *less* stylised than I actually intended, because I got swept up in details instead of shapes. But I learned a lot for the next sculpt. #NomadSculpt

If you happen to be in London, I recommend the Ursula K Le Guin exhibition over at the Architecture Association School of Architecture (I don’t think they are on bsky yet). Its a fab little exhibition about the maps of the worlds Le Guin created. The bookshop is also a gem ❤️ #ArtSky

My lil indulgent trip to London has not gone according to plan entirely. I caught a nasty cold at the office, so I have been trying to do what I can to keep going. HOWEVER some of my plan has worked. I’m feeling all refreshed, full of energy from the city and more <3

Probably preaching to the choir here but Netflix with ads is fecking GROSS. Adverts just thrown about at random times during anything you’re watching, and even adverts when you PAUSE. Bleeeeh. (I get Netflix as part of a Sky package, I can’t choose the ad-free version.)

People often ask me when the deadline for Thought Bubble is. And I tell them *aggressive hissing*. But if you would actually like to know it is 11am on November 6th for anything perfect bound (with a spine) and 11am on November 7th for anything stapled.

Why are comics more celebrated in places like France? Its so normal to find dedicated comic and graphic novel shops here :o I even saw a Vinland Saga exhibition in a castle! Also - now even more determined to learn French so I can read the awesome stuff thats here.

This sounds naive of me (I know) but it still amazes me to see housing in Europe has a different style to what I’m used to in the UK 😂 Not that I expect everywhere to look the same but housing is just much nicer to behold in Europe (at least in France where I am visiting).

My first time travelling via London at the tail end of summer but the height of a Bank Holiday weekend. Its…quite the experience, lol

I have never flown with #RyanAir before. How ghoulish are they about cabin bag size? My smol suitcase only just meets the measurements but I’m worried they’re going to force me to check the size at the airport and then charge me extra for an arbitrary reason 😩
