I'm working on the Flowering Quatrain Bookmark (as a bracelet) by Joelle Paulson and I thought I'd be clever and make it just a bit longer. I forgot to consider how that would change the corners and the turn, so now I'm starting over, following the pattern as written. Oops. #tatting

This project has so many firsts for me, but it is going so well! This is my first time adding beads inside the rings along the spine, and also my first time using two different color threads to do color work. It's been a bit of trial and error, but I think it's working. #tatting #dragon

I've made many Flying Minor Norwegian Dragons (pattern by Anne Bruvold) but this is my first attempt at adding large beads along the back/spine. I'm not sure about it, but I'm not good at imagining what it will look like finished, I have to finish it to see if this will work. #tatting #dragon

Here is a friendly reminder that if you want to try #tatting but don't want to spend money on supplies yet, you can make your own shuttle. The shuttle is used to hold the thread, that's it. So anything you can use to hold the thread and comfortably do the hand movements will work. Try it!

Here are two #tatted awareness ribbons, I liked how they turned out so I thought I would share. It's an easy pattern and can be done in any color, and these would be far more durable than a simple ribbon. The gray one is for Parkinson's Awareness and the green one for Cerebral Palsy Awareness.
